David and Nate are two wonderful men that I have had the pleasure to call my friends for years now. Both are in the United States Navy, one a soon-to-be doctor, and the other a local police officer. While they both have serious jobs, I can't think of one moment where being around them wasn't a really fun time! Hooyah! The ceremony and reception took place at the amazing Abram Farm. With their friends and family by their sides, they tied the ever-so-nautical-knot! A quick outfit change and it was time to make it officially official! After a beautiful sunny ceremony, guests made their way inside to "anchor" themselves in their chairs. Family photos were taken, the license was signed, so here's to starting the party! Guests took a break from dancing and snapped a pic or two for the grooms to keep. All of the heart eyes for these love-BYRDs <3 I cannot put into words how grateful I am to have been a part of this incredible day. Thank you both for being such great friends and bringing joy to so many, especially me!! Please take time to thank a service member anytime you are presented the chance. Lucee Blue Events thanks all that have served or are currently serving. Thoughts go out to the families of members who have passed. Thank you, Nate and Dave, for your service. Special thanks to all involved!

There comes a point in your career when a client reminds you why you started this business in the first place. Nat and Mike were those clients. In a world of country-chic weddings, this couple came to me in what felt like an angelic fashion.. I'm telling you, I swear they had beams of light behind them as Natascha asked me if I had ever done a wedding with a "dark" feel. I screamed with excitement (internally) and couldn't wait to sit down to see what all they had in mind. Not too long after that it was set in stone that I would be able to help them with their day of deep dark beauty. Mike and Natascha married on a cool November day at The Fields in Bloomington, IN. The stone and wood facility was filled to the brim with candles, greenery and warm love from their family and friends. One of the COOLEST parts of a wedding I've been able to witness... the unity. This was no ordinary unity candle lighting. This was what this couple truly represented to me. Inclusion. Love. Not just the love that comes with the territory of a wedding day between the bride and groom, but true love for all of those surrounding them. Gratitude for the people they are, and the value they brought to their life. This was a reverse unity candle lighting. One main candle was lit by the mothers of the couple. The couple then lit their candles from the main candle, and turned to their wedding party to light their candles. Furthermore, every guest had a candle at their seat when they arrived. Once the wedding party had their candles lit, they went out to the crowd to include everyone on the unity. This moment of the ceremony was stunning. While the unity portion was my personal favorite, lets not take away from the entire ceremony - it was all so gorgeous! Let them eat cake! Take a moment to focus on the bride's one of a kind, custom dress. Liby with Bloomington Stitchery put together a true work of art with this dress AND cape! Yes, I said cape! The couple continued their theme of inclusion throughout the night - having an insane amount of fun with their loved ones! This wedding and this couple are just as amazing as they look! Here's to the couple who brought a new level to my love for this job. Congrats Nat and Mike! Special thanks to all involved!

Aches with such love and appreciation.. an infinite amount, really. Well, that's what these two beautiful souls mean to me. This wedding day was special for so many reasons. Best Friends. Good music. Warmth. Fun. Love just being love. This isn't just how I personally feel about these men, but how they feel about each other! Take a look into this incredible day... As you enter the venue filled with cafe lighting, you are met with favors and fun! The grooms handmade bottle cap magnets to remind you of their happy day each time you put your kids' artwork or a coupon on the fridge. Due to the LOVE for chapstick that groom Mark has, they also decided to give everyone a little something to pucker up with. These little bits of fun were intigrated on the wall where pictures of the loved ones they've lost were placed. The simple elegance on the tables invited the guest to find their "destination." The tables were not numbered, but labeled with places the couple has traveled to or lived in. The head table was a wooden king style piece of art, simply decorated with a champagne sequined runner and large marquee letters. Each member of the wedding party was gifted a personalized mug that they filled to the brim with the delicious signature cocktail. The ceremony took place above the reception area, giving all of the guests the best view. The officiant and wedding party consisted of the grooms' closest friends who are considered family (Framily). Let me tell you, there wasn't a dry eye in the house! Representing the feels for us all: Mama Debbie! AND THEN THEY WERE MARRIED!!!!! The I do's were said, the bubbles filled the street and the party was just getting started! Now let me take a minute, just sit right there.. and I'll tell you all about the... DESSERTS!!!! #sugarcomajustfromlooking How about the AMAZING custom cake topper!?! Need to come down from that sugar high? Check out beautiful wedding party ;) There was sugar. There was good music. There was warmth. There was SO much fun. There was love. Just. Pure. Love. Thank you, Mr. & Mr. Clarke, for letting me be a part of your special day! Special thanks to all involved! V. E. that oozed from this wedding was INCREDIBLE!!! These photos genuinely show what this couple is about. Love and laughter. There was never a moment I saw them without a smile on their faces! Emily and Dan shared this pure happiness with their friends and family on, what turned out to be a very humid September day in Brown County State Park. With the threat of a storm brewing all week, we weren't sure how the outdoor ceremony would go, but there was never a worry. The morning sunshine peeked through the fog and the day was off to a good start! There were plenty of umbrellas to go around in case it rained, and every guest was given a ribbon wand for a colorful sendoff. The couple said 'I do' in front of a beautiful art piece, hand painted by the maid of honor. To tie in the couple's love for the art of theater, a few ladies from the Strange Tree Group started off the ceremony wearing shades of yellow, waving green pennants to celebrate the occasion. The Nature Center overlook was the perfect backdrop! Immediately following the ceremony was a hay ride! A real tractor, actual hay, excitement, laughter, our happiness and CARMEL APPLES! Yep, you read that right... Carmel apples for everyone as they enjoyed a ride around the gorgeous Brown County State Park! After site seeing around the park, cocktail hour and the reception were held in an park shelter that we gussied up with some incredible vintage camping decor from the bride's mother. The sweetheart tables was dressed in lace and had the most incredible vintage decor. Refreshing cocktails were provided by Cardinal Spirits! Following dinner was the best part of the night... DONUTS!!!! Go ahead and wipe the drool from your face because, yes, they were just as good as they look! These incredible donuts were brought down by some gracious guests from Do-Rite Donuts in Chicago. Freshly made on the wedding day! With drinks and donuts flowing, the dancing and laughter never subsided. I'll forever be grateful that Emily and Dan chose me to help them with their special day. Being exposed to this level of joy is a highlight of my career! Special thanks to all involved!

When you high school best friend asks you to assist with her wedding, you are beyond grateful and speechless... and lets get real, you scream with excitement all over again! The Bride (Amy) and Lucee Blue Events owner (Brittany) were best friends in high school and have stayed friends since. This is one of those friendships that start right back up where they left it off the last time they saw each other. Amy is one of the most genuine people. So it's only natural that she found another genuine person to spend her life with. Brian is exactly the right person! First looks get me EVERY. TIME. Especially when there are tears! <3 <3 <3 This wedding could not have been more awesome to be a part of! First and foremost, Lucee Blue Events got to travel back up North, this time to a beautiful Lake Michigan scene! Can you even handle this view?!?! Nature at it's best! <3 The day started a little gloomy as we all wished the rain away. The outdoor ceremony space was set up in the garden area of the venue with a few floral arrangements. The couple wanted the ceremony to be short and sweet and the partying to last forever. The plan was to have a standing ceremony, so we designed a simple aisle. Unfortunately, the storm came JUST as the ceremony was going to start, so we were unable to use this beautiful space. Good news: the reception area was just as beautiful! All guests took their seats and the short and sweet ceremony took place in front of their head table. You really can't be too upset about a change in space when your backdrop is Lake Michigan :)
Calling all puzzle fans! Check out this incredible guestbook!
The tables were set with lanterns and candles, fully incorporating the lake theme with rocks and sand. As the sunlight faded, the awesome purple uplighting made this space the party atmosphere they envisioned. The dance floor was never empty and every guest left happy. The newlywed couple and some of their closest friends ended the night at a local brewery to continue the memories. Lucee Blue Events was honored to be a part of Amy and Brian's big day. More specifically, I (Brittany) could not have been happier to be there and check this occasion off of my lifetime list. From high schoolers that only worried about Student Council, shifts at Dairy Queen, sports, and who was dating who... to adults with full time jobs, houses, a husband, and real life plans. Forever a best friend in my heart - Love you Amy! So happy for you! Thank you for letting me be a part of your day!!! Special thanks to all involved! Reagan and Darian are two of the sweetest girls, who have literally been BFFs - or, at least since they were 6 months old! Their friendship has taken them through childhood, school, cheerleading, and will now follow them to college at Indiana University! One of our favorite details were the "Diploma Cookies." There were plenty of desserts to go around, but it's "sweet" details like this that complete a theme! The girls really enjoyed the handmade decor that we provided. We were sure to get in their large glittery letters and personalized their card boxes. We loved putting together the tassel banners for the dessert table with the school colors for both Bloomington North and Indiana University!. All of the tables were dressed in gorgeous linens from Perfect Parties Tents and Events, and we decided to add maroon and gold pom pom centerpieces (Go Cougars!), and photos of girls that held some balloons in place. Lets not forget the photo booth! This gem was also provided by Perfect Parties, and many memories were captured inside. Pictured below were the photo booth's biggest fans, Ella and Preston - can you say CUTE?!?! Are they the next Reagan and Darian?? :) Lucee Blue Events absolutely loved helping these wonderful ladies with their graduation party. Congrats and Good Luck Reagan and Darian! <3 Putting this experience into words will be hard, but I thought I'd give it a try! In late January, Lucee Blue Events was honored to be featured in the 2016 Bloomington Bridal Show. The show is put together by the ever-amazing Julie with Perfect Parties and Events. Julie and everyone at Perfect Parties did such an amazing job! This was our first Bridal Show - and we couldn't have asked for a better turn out! We decided to go as handmade as we could with all of the decor. We wanted to showcase exactly what we could do. Every rose ball, cupcake and glittered candle holder had Lucee Blue's personal touch. We were going for a glittered vintage look to catch the eye of many couples. Limiting yourself to only one look can be off-putting for some couples, but trying to please everyone is impossible. I think we pulled it off, do you?! The Chivari chairs used were rented from Perfect Parties and Events. Did you know that they are the ONLY rental company in southern Indiana to have the wide selection of Chivari chairs they have?!? Be sure to check them out for any rental needs! Though this was a Bridal Show, keep in mind that Lucee Blue Events is more than just a planning and coordinating business - we thoroughly enjoy making custom decor!!
What's better than twin boys turn two??? Twin boys turning two, dressed in Mickey outfits!! Doesn't get any cuter than this!?! I can't put into words how much FUN this party was! Jack and Garrett are twin 2 year old boys that are little nuggets of happiness. Family and friends attended this fun-filled party at the home of the birthday boys. Mickey Mouse was plastered throughout the house in every form we could! From "Mouskatools" to Mickey banners, even a life-sized Mickey to greet everyone at the door! Or to be carried around by the boys :) All food and beverages were prepared by Mom, family and friends - each with a Mickey label or shape to keep up with the theme! The cake came from a local bakery and again, had a Mickey on it. Even the gourmet popcorn had to have Mickey ribbon! I could not have been more honored to be a part of this party. Everyone was so inviting and the boys couldn't get enough of "MI-MEY"! I could watch them run around in those little outfits all day! I was even able to wear and take home a pair of my very own Mickey ears! After the bounce house and face-painting for some of the other kids, the boys were excited to be the center of attention and dig into their cake. Everyone crowded around with their cameras and phones and captured these sweet faces! Garrett (primarily green bib) is a man after my own heart. Enjoying every last drop of his dessert, he could care less how many photos were taken! hahaha Jack (primarily blue bib) was all giggles and thought it was too funny that dad wanted to try his cake! Thank you Flanagin Family for having Lucee Blue Events into your loving home!
Happy Birthday Jack and Garrett! This amazing couple = FUN! I may be biased as I personally love the both of them, but really and truly, this wedding was so much fun! This bunch was filled with a mix of Police Officers and high school teachers, all addicted to sports in some way. Even the Pastor and Father of the Bride shared a love for their favorite football team! There was never a dull moment! The bride could not have been more proud of her perfect purple Converse hidden under her stunning dress. You know a bride means business when she walks down the aisle in tennis shoes! The day started in the middle of Bloomington at the Free Methodist Church, where both Pastor Zach and the groom's Uncle Ron performed the ceremony. Believe it or not, the groom cried more than the bride! This fun-loving couple took the time to really enjoy their ceremony and really felt in the pure love that surrounded them. My favorite part of this ceremony was when the bride and groom lit their unity candle. Since the bride is a teacher, she had one of her talented students sing as they lit the candle and took a moment to write down their feelings. I was over the moon when the couple brought me this idea! They each had a note card and pens. After the candle was lit, they stepped to the side and wrote down what they were feeling in that exact moment. JUST THINK of the emotional words that poured onto those notecards! The cards were put into envelopes and put away into a box. These notes won't be opened until their first wedding anniversary! Following the beautiful ceremony that was sealed with a kiss, they were off... in a Corvette!! The cocktail hour and reception were held at the Bloomington Country Club. Cocktails, cigar bar, donuts, mathematics and a TON of dancing consumed the cool September night. Everyone in attendance shared laughs and love with the happy couple! The photo booth always had a line and the bar was never dry. The rain stayed away and the happy couple had their perfect wedding! The thoughtful bride and groom dedicated their special day to their parents. You could see the glow from the parents; they couldn't have been more proud! I, personally, have a deeper love and connection with this couple. Brittany and Trevor, thank you for choosing Lucee Blue Events! We had a BLAST with this wedding, and would gladly do it all over again! Special thanks to all involved!

This couple had been through a lot of emotions over the course of their planning. With highs and lows, we were still able to pull off one of the best nights of their lives! As the days got closer, the anxiety got intense, but NOTHING was going to stop this couple. The words I heard most from them were "we just want to make sure everyone has a good time." Well, we did just that. With not a drop of rain in sight, the day was off to a great start! The bride enjoyed a beautiful morning with family and friends as she got ready in the adorable bridal cottage located on the premises. Guests started to arrive and they were all extremely happy to see that we provided them with fans, as the sun wasn't quitting anytime soon! The ceremony went off without a hitch and not only were vows made between Wendy and JB, but also with the special little girls in their lives, Emily and Khloe. There was not a dry eye to be seen! One of my favorite parts of this wedding was using all parts of the venue. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all in different locations (within walking distance). This gave the guests a break from just sitting in one spot and waiting. The bride and groom utilized the amazing loft for their first dance. The outdoor reception was more than beautiful as everyone was able to watch the sun set while they ate! Food was quickly served and then came the fun part, the dancing! Boy oh boy was there some dancing! Making sure everyone had a good time was what the couple wanted and that is exactly what they got! While it may have been the hottest day during the ceremony and cocktail hour, the reception was cool and breezy and the dance floor was packed. Cupcakes and laughs a plenty, I didn't witness one person in attendance that wasn't full of love and excitement for this amazing family. I will forever be blessed to have been a part of this day! Thank you for having us! Special thanks to all involved!
