Most weddings come with a flood of emotions, and this one was no exception. After years of dating, Steven proposed to Shaylee on New Year's Eve - what a way to kick off 2015! The wedding planning began and the beautiful couple, who now live in another state, chose to return to Bloomington, Indiana and to join their families and say I do. After finding out a very important family member had fallen ill, we were able to help Shay and Steven move their wedding date up months, and made sure no detail was forgotten. On May 16, 2015, we were able to fight against the rain and storms and pull out an incredible, elegant wedding. An abundance of lights, navy blue, lace, pearls, and gold accents covered the venue. This day was bound and determined to be beautiful, regardless of the set backs. The rain cleared away just long enough for Shaylee to have her father walk her down the aisle, a memory that everyone will hold close to them forever. Shaylee and Steven have unforgettable smiles and their love and happiness flowed through every person attending that day. Elegance, love, laughter... and happily ever after! Thank you, Shay and Steven, for allowing me to be a part of your incredible day! Special thanks to all involved!

Blog post #1! I am so glad that you stopped by the site and decided to take a look at some of my work. I decided to lump together some previous work to give you a small glimpse into why this is my passion. I've spent years of my life knowing that I wanted an education, but didn't necessarily knowing what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Throughout my years of indecisive and expensive education, the one constant I had was my creativity. Finally, after exploring the hospitality industry, I found the light. I decided to go back to school and obtain a Hospitality Administration degree, where I completed an internship with a local wedding planner. I fell in love quicker than I thought possible! Through that internship I realized my need for creativity and love for organization could come together. I finally found what I was MEANT to do. So, I came up with Lucee Blue Events and I am diving head first into every opportunity I am given. I have an incredible support system and everyone involved continues to give me chances to showcase my talent. Prior to the 2015 wedding season, I created a few birthday parties and baby showers. Take a look at some tidbits from those events! Wild West 3rd Birthday Party: Couldn't get enough "boy" elements into this baby shower: Incredible fun and delicious waffle bar at a bridal shower: Short and sweet for now, but keep your eyes peeled for Lucee Blue Events' next blog - the Albritton wedding! |
